Theme:  The Love of God: The story of God’s love for us is the greatest story ever told.
“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19 (ESV)

Daily Topics:
Day 1: How do I know God loves me? (John 3:16; 1 John 4:7-8, 16)
Day 2: God’s love for me never fails. (Psalm 136:1-2; Deuteronomy 7:9; Psalm 86:15)
Day 3: Because God loves me…I know He is always with me. (Romans 8:31-39)
Day 4: Because God loves me…I don’t need to be afraid. (Isaiah 49:14-16; Zephaniah 3:17; Romans 8:28; Jeremiah 29:11)
Day 5: Because God loves me…I can love others. (Romans 5:5; 1 Corinthians 13:4-8; Matthew 5:38-48; 1 John 4:7-8; John 15:9-17)

Each day of Vacation Bible School (VBS) we will focus on a different topic related to God’s love for us.  The day’s schedule will include a lesson, lesson-related crafts and finally, activities. On the Sunday following VBS the children will have the opportunity to perform the songs that they have learned during the week and recite their scripture.

Daily activities include a time of worship and teaching as well as crafts, illustrations, and games that will reinforce the lesson’s concept.  Children will also have the opportunity to go swimming in the ocean each day.
