God's Doing a New Thing

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” - Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)

We all enjoy new things that bring us happiness: new people, places and things. There is something invigorating and refreshing about newness. We typically try to avoid what is stale, dull and dry! Like, who wants toast that is SDD – stale, dull and dry? I prefer my toast hot, soft, saturated with butter and blessed with a lot of strawberry jelly! Did you know that the manna that came from heaven had strawberry jelly on it! No that's the PBKV – Pastor Bernard King Version.

In Isaiah 43:19, God declared that in a dusty and dry place He will give us something better than strawberry jelly.  He will give us a drink!  It is just like God to make a driveway of blessing in the midst of disaster!  And a well of water in a weary and worn out heart!

Consider the following points from this passage:

  • God is doing what He wants.  If God has said it, He will do it.
  • It will spring forth, like a plant breaking through the soil representing a breakthrough.
  • You will personally experience it!

Perceive the truth and receive God’s promise that He will make a way in the wilderness, bring blessing in a barren environment, make rivers in the desert and offer a drink in a dry desert.

When we believe the truth of Scripture and exercise the mind of Christ will see that a dry environment is a platform for providence.

In closing, I submit to you that in order to experience the newness that God has ordained for you in this season, you:

Need to negate the world’s influence and consistently surrender to His influence.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”Colossians 2:8 (KJV)

Eagerly embrace His will and service.

“For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice.” Psalm 95:7 (KJV)

“Jesus saith unto them, ‘My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.’” John 4:34 (KJV)

Worship God in truth with your mind, body and soul daily.

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24 (KJV)

“For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” Philippians 3:3 (KJV)

By applying these principles, you will enjoy the NEW work that the Lord has planned for your life.

For the Glory of God,
