Legitimate Love Lifts Up the Lord

“Hereby perceive we the love [of God], because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down [our] lives for the brethren.” - 1 John 3:16 (KJV)

“What the world needs now, is love sweet love…”
“All you need is love…”
“Where is the love?”
All three of the aforementioned statements are part of a plethora of words and songs made popular by songwriters and recording artists. Each song was immensely popular in its time indicating that its topic strongly resonated with its audience.  The quest and definition of love has always been a part of our human existence.

With so many different opinions about love in our culture, a number of questions are raised:  Who, what, when, why and how do we know the giver of love? What is it supposed to look like? When is it real? How does it work or function? Because of cultural confusion, a countless number of souls are starving, searching, and looking for love in all the wrong places.

A few years ago, the majority of the Supreme Court created a new law of love that became the law of the land.  By doing so, they surrendered Sovereign truth, hijacked heaven’s heart, canceled out the Creator's conviction and capitulated to the call of a carnal culture that is connected with a callous conscience. Respectfully, lovingly, but more important biblically, I submit to you that this kind of love is not of the Lord but rather reflects a culture of lawlessness.

The God that is accurately revealed in absolute truth through the Holy Scriptures has given us a transcending truth with respect to His infinitely superior gift of eternally abundant love. The source of this love is supernatural and its recipients will never be released or remove from its reality.

“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” - Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV)

I invite you to join me again next week when we examine what our God has said about His eternal love that has escaped the hearts of those that stand and sink in error.

For the Glory of God,
