Peace when it appears that God is Absent

Fear thou not; for I am with thee be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

Have you ever entertained the fact that every one of us is not exempt from experiencing fear at some point in our lives? The fear factor is a fixed reality in our human experience. There are a considerable number of things that contributes to capturing of our personal peace in addition to subjecting our souls to fear. That is fear that is fleshly and deceitful.

In October of 2023 Chapman University located in Orange California conducted their annual Chapman University Survey of American Fears. The survey reveals the top 10 fears in the American public. The data is derived after trends over time and finds new fears as they surface. The CSAF surveys is a nationally representative sample to identify the fears that causes Americans to be afraid as well as keep them up at night.

The following data on Fears are ranked by the percentage of Americans surveyed who reported being ‘afraid’ or ‘very afraid.’

Top 10 Fears of 2023 % of Very Afraid or Afraid

Corrupt government officials - 60.1%

Economic/financial collapse - 54.7%

Russia using nuclear weapons - 52.5%

The US becoming involved in another World War - 52.3%

People I love becoming seriously ill - 50.6%

People I love dying - 50.4%

Pollution of drinking water - 50.0%

Biological warfare - 49.5%

Cyber-terrorism - 49.3%

Not having enough money for the future - 48.0%

I submit to you that the data from the survey of fears is fixed in consistency as it relates to our relationship with God and our personal peace. They all attack the character God and foment the falsehood that God is absent and to trust him to protect us in pending peril is foolish.

Fear fixed it formidable foothold in our human experience when the first couple Adam and Eve jettisoned their faithfulness to God and drank from the duplicitous cup of the devil which caused them to be drunk with disobedience and consequently, they forfeited their fellowship and forwarded death (separation from God).

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

myself. Genesis 3:10

When God came looking for them in the garden, they had sewed themselves skirts of shame with fig leaves and looked to concealed themselves because they were afraid.

The outcome of sin is guilt and guilt produce (sinful/fleshly) fear for God and toward the one we’ve sin against. Fear fractures our peace with God, others, and ourselves. It also deceives us into thinking that God is absent and not available.

Faith in our Father eviscerates fear and restores our reservoir of peace. Here what our Faithful and true Father declares from His word.

The text in the title of our blog entry declares: Fear thou not; for I am with thee be not dismayed; for I am thy God: Isaiah 14:10

Isaiah 41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

Deuteronomy 31:8 And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Inclosing, When you’re your peace is assaulted and accosted by a intimidating grip of fear, fix yourself in the faith of God’s word and secure yourself in the Spirit that forwards the fact that GOD GOTCHA and HE WILL NEVER LET YA GO!!
