Sign up for Significance

Sign up for Significance.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

Have you ever engaged in any substantial consideration towards your significance and purpose in this immense universe? This week’s blog purposes to explore what the word of God declares with respect to our intrinsic value as well as the specific and unique purpose(significance) that our Father God has reserved for his children.

The subject of one’s significance has been addressed by the sacred (word of God) and the secular (word of man). For our purposeful consideration regarding significance, I have taken the liberty to site a secular position and contrast it with the sacred.

Intuitively we who are faithful followers of faith as well as willfully walk with a biblical world view will secure our understanding on significance from the latter.

In her article title How to Create a Life of Significance, Kit Kittelstad (an adjunct communications professor at Pace University in New York, NY. and freelance writer who specializes in lifestyle and travel articles) promoted the position that Significance is a double-sided coin.

She went on to forward the thought that a life of significance has two cornerstones: self-care and self-giving. To live a significant life, we must capitalize on our inner joys and share a few outer joys.

In addition, the author explained and gave examples of what she defined as inner joy that is finding joy in simple pleasures -sipping a cup of peppermint tea or gardening and outer joys which may comprise anything from taking a call from a friend in need or cooking once a week at the local shelter. Respectfully I submit to you that the writer closes her article with a casting concept concerning significance and a challenging inquiry.

A life of significance is balanced by these two kinds of joy. So, what can we do to find our way and live there forever?

In my next blog I endeavor to expand my scrutinization of what has been suggested regarding the subject of significance and sign us up on some scriptural truth that tackles the subject.

I end this week blog by inviting you at personally park and ponder about what our Father God

has proclaimed over you.

Isaiah 43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Not a sermon just some thoughts.
