CONSISTENTLY CLEANING GODS HOUSE -PART 2

For the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.1 Corinthians 3:17b

Last week’s blog entry presented an exhortation that encouraged the eradication of carnal centered clutter that have collected in our heads and heart which are also assigned as the home of the Holy Spirit.

For that reason, we should purpose to make HIS (God’s) home pristine and presentable. So, what are some of the things we should address to keep a tidy house for our True, transcendent, triumphant, and trustworthy God? Let’s visit what the Lord listed regarding the things that tarnish the heart.

Mark 7:20-23 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

All the above are internal issues that are indeed tied to thirteen terrible things! Now the word Defileth means to declare or count something as uncleaned.

From the text (Mark 7:20-23) Our Lord Jesus revealed to those who gathered to glean from the great gardener of life the confirmed source of defilement. In addition, he distinctly listed the things that demands us deliberately to clean His house daily. And the consequence of not cleaning is continual corruption to our conscience and character.

He went on to share that it is not the external that enters in a person that pollutes them. Jesus expressed this eternal truth with a moral underpinning and not a medical sense. A person is not defiled morally by what he consumes even if his hands are not ceremonially washed.

Our Lord explained that it is what comes out of a person that pollutes them or makes them “unclean.” A person can even be defiled morally by what he or she thinks in their heart even though he or she may be resolute in carefully observing external purity rituals. Subsequently,
The Lord Jesus Christ canceled the Rabbinic interpretation by proclaiming that sin progresses from heads and hearts and proceeds to our hands(actions) not just our hands.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Now let’s consider the first thing the Lord listed that dirty the divine space where the Lord Lives. (Our thought life) Evil thoughts produced in a heart will merge with one’s will to manufacture evil words and walk you into wicked and worldly actions. Hence, a dirty head opens the Lord’s house to the other 12 filthy works of the flesh.

To keep his house pure be diligent to cling, commit and conform to the cure. The perfect paragon of Cleaner the (Lord Jesus Christ).

Jeremiah 33:8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

Ezekiel 36:35 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Cleaning God’s House is a Holy habit necessary to help the Lord be right at home!

Not a sermon just some thoughts
