POSITION OF FAITH 

Cornerstone Bible Fellowship is a solidarity of believers that volitionally surrender and embrace the truth that Jesus Christ is Lord. We purpose in our hearts to be more than ordinary servants for an extraordinary God. By the power of the Holy Spirit we covet to conform to the likeness of the Lord. Furthermore, we strive for an incessant oneness, intimacy and rich relationship with the only true God and Savior Jesus Christ. We are not a denominational church. But we are grateful to God and celebrate the considerable contributions and the inexhaustible influence that denominational churches have accomplished in advancing the Gospel of Christ and His Kingdom. However, we elect to fellowship with denominational as well as non-denominational churches that promote the authority of Scripture and the unity of the Spirit among the body of Christ.

DOCTRINAL STATEMENTS

 1.We believe that there is only one true living God that exists as three distinct personalities, Father, Son and Holy Spirit in one divine essence. He alone is sovereign LORD. Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 12:14

2. We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, justice and love. He alone has the power to deliver us from our sins. Isaiah 43:11; Isaiah 45:21-22

3. We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings; His substitutionary atoning death; bodily resurrection; ascension into heaven and He is the only mediator between God and man. We believe in His promise to return for His own. 1 John 5:20; Titus 2:13-14

4. We believe in the Holy Spirit who came from the Father, to exalt the son to convict the world of sin, regenerate, sanctify, teach, guide and empowers us for ministry. We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit and He lives in all who have obeyed the Gospel.  John 16:7-13, 1 Corinthians 2:10-11

5. We believe that all the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired and infallible and are rightly deemed more superior than the customs and traditions of man. Therefore, it is our absolute guide for our practice of faith and government in the Body of Christ. Isaiah 40:8; 2 Timothy 3:16-17

6. We believe all people by nature are separated by God and are responsible for their own sins, but salvation, redemption and forgiveness is free and abundantly given by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ on the condition that one repents, surrenders and trusts Jesus Christ as Lord of their life.  Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Romans 5:28; Romans; Romans 10:9-13

7. We believe that God is immutable in His position on what constitutes a marriage. According to the Scriptures, God definitively declares that marriage is between a biologically-born male and biologically-born female. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself also cited the Scriptures and emphatically echoed what God established as marriage here on earth. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31-32; Malachi 3:6

8. We believe that God has established scriptural confines for sexual intimacy and sexual expression. Scripture declares that heterosexual intimacy in marriage is sanctioned and celebrated. Any expression of sexual intimacy outside His divine directive challenges and subverts His declaration and design for marriage and the family.  Romans 1:24-32; 1 Corinthians 6:18; Hebrews 13:4
