The Plus Of Promoting The Presence, Person And Power Of Jesus Christ
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” - 1 John 4:4 (KJV)
Are you aware that the most perfect Person that ever lived on the entire earth exercises authority over all that has ever existed? Not only that but there is entirely nothing physically or spiritually in this life or the life to come that is exempted from His sovereignty. No spiritual being or human being in our existence will ever exceed His transcendence! Consider this thought: the universe including all its stars, planets and galaxies cannot contain a needle-head’s worth of His immeasurable infinity.
Quite frankly, all of our Lord's superlatives can never be exhausted. But what I find enormously extraordinary is that our God and Lord Jesus Christ did not choose an elaborate religious structure or church property to occupy as His permanent place of residence. He could have chosen to reside in the enormous and impressive visible property holdings of the Catholic Church, estimated at US $316 billion, but He did not. Instead, He chose the human heart for his home!
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” - 1 Corinthians 3:16 (KJV, emphasis added)
“What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” - 1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV, emphasis added)
“Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.” - 1 John 4:13 (KJV, emphasis added)
These Scriptures reinforce the truth that we can know and enjoy God intimately and in a personal way and that Jesus Christ lives in our hearts and minds. God made this reality happen when He gave us His Spirit. One of the reasons why the church is indicted for being impotent in relation to making a difference in this world is that its believers have forfeited faith and fixed themselves in falsehoods of feelings. As a result, they are suspending themselves in ignorance. Consequently, their understanding of Christ as being greater than any challenge or crisis is crippled. They cannot walk in victory over their circumstances. They spiritually limp throughout their lives.
The realization of the greatness of GOD being in you, positions you to walk in greatness. More importantly, it prepares us to reveal to the world that we serve a great God. Does your life lift up a great God or a god that is walked on by the world?
For the Glory of God,
