Our Vote is a Voice for Righteousness
Our Vote is a Voice for Righteousness
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34
To vote are not to vote that is the question.
The 2024 Presidential election is November 5th. In addition, there are several Senate and House races that are up for grabs for this current election cycle. So, should believers bank a ballot or vote?
Recent research reveals that 104 million people of faith, plus 32 million professing Christians who often attend church, are not likely to vote in the presidential election.
Have you ever given any consideration to the considerable consequences for a culture in which Ungodly and Antichrist voices guide the governance of its citizens? I respectfully as well as unequivocally enter the assertion that it is the duty and obligation of every Christian to vote and to vote for governmental officials who advance Christian principles.
The sovereignty of God is not absent or suspended in political participation especially in electing a leader. But that eternal fact should not forward and exemption from doing nothing to extending and exalting His will.
Scripture charges us to commit to doing what is right and promote Godliness and goodness because God calls it sin to know to do good (what’s right in his sight) and not take action to do good.
Pertinent to politics and governance, the only true God and potentate points us to times when he was not pleased with the positions of power (leadership) that were picked by his people.
Read, receive, reflect and if necessary repent as we consider what God has said in the following passage.
Hosea 8:4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
I believe that we are living in a antichrist atmosphere that advances political advancements and agendas that are against God and His people. And as a result indication of iniquity’s influence and gratuitous grip as well as its nefarious net on this world is all over.
I John 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
A great degree of torment on this terrestrial ball is due to degenerate, deceitful and devilish leadership. The word of God calls Christian’s to respect and submit to authority that is in alignment to God’s authority and not against or assail his word. As born-again believers, we should strive to select officials compliant and committed to the commandments of God. Candidates or propositions that destroy the divine commands for life, family, marriage, or faith should not ever be embraced or encouraged!
When we Vote we advance and amplify the voice of God over the voices of the ungodly.
Bless the Lord and our fellow believers by banking a ballot for righteousness.
