THE HAT-TRICK FOR HOLY LIVING IN AN UNHOLY WORLD PART 2

"But as it is written, 'Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." - 1 Corinthians 2:9

In the last blog entry, we revealed a spiritual reality concerning our journey with the Lord Jesus Christ. From our opening text, we presumed that what we deliberately and consistently see with our eyes, hear with our ears, and apply in our hearts will reveal if we are passing through as pilgrims or purposely parked in a polluted world. For application, I submitted the idea that the Holy Hat-trick involves our EYES - EARS and HEARTS.

As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we understand that we enjoy a rich relationship, favor, and fellowship with our God.

Psalm 119:17-18 says, 'How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.'

Ezekiel 36:26 states, 'A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.'

Zephaniah 3:17 reveals, 'The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.'

Romans 8:27 adds, 'And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.'

Consequently, people with a conscious and committed love for God enjoy a Holy Hat-trick in their hearts. The receipt of a rich and rewarding love for God will be revealed with their eyes. That is how often they look and see the Lord and His purposes and work. Their ears will reveal how often they hear the word of God, and their hearts will hold a deep love evidenced by their obedience and their attention to application.

In closing, our Benevolent God, who is Bountiful in Goodness and Mercy, sees us as His beloved, and He has deemed us worthy of the BEST BENEFIT PACKAGE EVER! This is the blessing of having a Holy Hat-trick in an Unholy World.
