A Christ-Centered Concept about Change
A Christ-Centered Concept about Change
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
— Isaiah 43:19
Have you ever set some time aside to consider what the word of God has to say about change? Since all souls are subject to the dynamic forces that are propelled by a fallen world, change will come.
According to Jim Bright (Organizational Psychologist, Columnist, and Visiting Professor at the University of Derby, UK), one in three people would avoid change if they could. But a GRAND CANYON-sized truth echoes: change is inevitable!
For too many of us, change is characterized as a considerable perpetrator that arrests us with anxiousness because our perceived notion of control is neutralized. Consequently, capturing and redirecting a mind influenced by the flesh cancels the distorted conception of control that is centered in carnality. Simply put, we will overcome this anxiousness when we, by faith, sync our minds and souls with the SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD!
Proverbs 19:21
There are many devices (or plans) in a man's heart; nevertheless, the counsel (or what God has decreed) of the LORD, that shall stand (or prevail).
Colossians 1:16-17
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. And he is before all things, and by him, all things consist (are held together).
Did you notice the ascending and absolute truth that God holds everything together according to Colossians 1:17? As I have shared in the past with the Body of Christ, and I believe at this juncture it is worth saying again: “You can't get your act together until you know God is the only one that can hold everything together."
The glorious and great news is that God has a plan for your life that incorporates hope, a future, and prosperity. We must understand that trusting God gives us the gift of change, which we can truly believe in.
Psalm 37:5
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Committing our plans to the Lord illustrates that we believe He has control over our lives and encourages us that when we trust Him, He will fulfill His purpose for us.
In addition, the Word of God promises that all things will work together for good for those who love Him and keep His commandments! God is always in touch and is traveling with us on this journey we call life.
In our next time, we will consider the kind of change that is consistent with Christ.
Not a sermon, just some thoughts.
