Four Principles That Will Encourage a Prosperous New Year

FOUR PRINCIPLES THAT WILL ENCOURAGE A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37:5

By this period, we have been blessed to see the first Sunday in the 2025 year. I submit to you there is still ample time to take measures to position yourself for prosperity this New Year.

But it will not come to fruition with fortified fleshly footsteps or sentiment that is solidified by our senses. Blessings and prosperity are explicitly tied to obedience. It has been said that The Bible is a book of blessings but remember: the blessings come at the price of obedience. Let’s consider the Word of God which will walk us in His will and cause us to be occupied by obedience.

Jeremiah 7:23 but this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

Luke 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

From the Word of God we understand that obedience brings blessings. Hence, to experience a blessed or prosperous New Year I have provided four principles for you to ponder and practice for 2025. I will be employing the letters in the word Y-E-A-R which points us to, as well as provide the principles that will make our way prosperous in the New Year.

Y - Yield not to temptation.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

E - Enter His gates with Thanksgiving.

Psalms 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

A - Advance His will and Word over your life.

 Ephesians 6:6 not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

R - Reach others for Christ.

Ezekiel 34:16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.

Luke 19:10. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Since we can do all things in Christ, with Him as our captain and conscience, let us purpose to practice these principles for a prosperous New Year.

Not a sermon just some thoughts
