Adopting a New Attitude for the New Year

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:23-24

Sunday marked the start of a New Year. And it’s plausible that many of us had to endure experiences in 2022 that we do not want to redo! However, the New year also encourages us to entertain new endeavors, develop and dedicate ourselves to new dreams. Revive ourselves with resolutions: Spiritually, Emotionally, and Physically.

So, as you check into the New Year (2023) I respectfully submit to you that we should start this New Year with: A CHECK UP FROM THE NECK UP!

Therefore, we need to assess our attitude. It's conceivable that you are currently connected to the past year’s adversity or even accomplishments that may have advanced an attitude of arrogance.  If we are honest, there were occasions last year that we needed an attitude adjustment and it’s inevitable that we will need several attitude adjustments in this New Year.  On several occasions my wife and I have made appointments with a Chiropractor to receive an adjustment. Our Spiritual Chiropractor Christ the Lord by way of the Spirit is the ultimate attitude adjuster. Thus, before there was a New Year that God gave us a new life and thereby made us a new person that has been created to be like God in genuine righteousness and holiness, which is founded on truth according to our opening text.

According to the word of God we should regularly renew, revive, and rebuild and replace rebellious attitudes.

In closing, be resolute to reserve an Attitude of ascendency that will advance the Lord’s attitude and authority over your actions in this new year!

Not a sermon, just some thoughts.

For the Glory of God,
