Your Commitment to Christ: Strong or Surrendered?

Maybe you have heard or even contributed to the debate: Who was more committed to your breakfast plate, the chicken or the pig?  The chicken committed the eggs and the pig, the bacon and ham.  My preference is eggs over-easy with a thick slice of ham and some good old fashion Georgia ice cream aka grits!  My objective was not to make you hungry so let’s proceed to move from our bellies to our hearts.

Deliberately Delighting in the Word of God 2

From our last time together, I shared that godly people (individuals who are born of the spirit aka born-again Jn.3:3) get direction from the whole counsel of God’s Word. The whole counsel of God is the absolute truth of the word of God specifically the gospel. Consequently, as sons and daughters of God our relationship with the Word of God should be likened to being in love. People that are in love with each other take tremendous joy in spending time together. In addition, priorities are policed and purged because at the pinnacle of one’s head and heart are the one that they desire and delight in. I respectfully and lovingly say to you that we need to be purposeful in pursuing that splendid sample of love as it relates to the word of God.
